Welcome to our 221st Year!   This will be a year of “musical chairs”!  Our beloved jewel, Thalian Hall will be closed for modifications and renovations to include new seating.

Thus, the Thalian Association’s main stage performances will be taking place at the 2nd Street Stage, at the Hannah Block USO Historic Building and Kenan Auditorium.

We welcome back our current members for another exciting season!  We also say hello to our new members and friends from the stage at each performance.  Please join us in keeping the music and the arts alive in our community.  Please join us for the annual Southern Coastal Bluegrass Festival in September this year and our annual Orange Street ArtsFest in May.  The Thalian Association Children’s Theatre (TACT) will present another entertaining season as our tradition of involving the talented young people in our community with an opportunity to display their gifts in a truly hands on experience in the performing arts.

Amenities have been added in the Community Arts Center with the generous donation by the Resident of Old Wilmington for new seating at the 2nd street stage and funds for much needed lighting improvements were provide by the ACCORD.

On behalf of the officers and staff of the Thalian Association allow me to acknowledge how much we appreciate our members, sponsors, friends and volunteers in continuing our heritage as the Official Community Theater of North Carolina.

While we enjoy seeing you in the audience, please know that we welcome your involvement not only with the Thalian Association or Thalian Hall, but also with other organizations in our wonderful city and community.
