Thalian Association Community Theatre Announces 2017-2018 Main Stage and Youth Season

Thalian Association Community Theatre is pleased to announce the show selections for their 2017-2018 season. The Main Stage Thalian Hall season will include Mel Brook’s Young Frankenstein, It’s A Wonderful Life, Oliver!, The Bridges of Madison County, and The Wedding Singer. Artistic Director Chandler Davis says the decision to announce the new line up earlier than TACT’S usual December season announcement is due to general excitement over finalizing a year that includes two classic favorites and three new shows that have never been produced locally before. “Choosing a season is a wonderful, yet difficult task that requires a great deal of thought”, Davis says. “We are about to open our Main Stage Season with the Wilmington Premiere Rock of Ages which we are really excited about. People keep asking me what we have planned for the future so I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the start of our current season than by announcing next years!” The Youth season at the Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center will include Hairspray, Scrooge!, A Year with Frog and Toad, Junie B. Jones the Musical, and Disney’s Tarzan. Thalian Association Community Theatre to continue the tradition of announcing their new season in the Fall as opposed to December in the future. Davis says, “This is an exciting time for theatre in our community. Theatre goers and the talented individuals who audition for local theatre are always wondering what’s around the corner and I am happy to oblige them!”
