Play a role that impacts and inspires the entire community. Weave beauty & dedication into one irresistible experience! Make a gift so that children and families in need can experience the magic of live theater at Thalian Association Community Theatre productions.
“Theater 4 Change through Creative Communities” is the bridge from ticket holders, foundations and corporations to children and families who do not have the resources to attend theatrical productions. Introducing children to the arts at an early age can change the way they see the world, nurture fledgling talents, and seed cultural audiences of the future.
By providing free theatre tickets to nonprofit organizations serving children and families in need, Thalian Association Community Theatre is able to invite children and families that would normally not be able to attend a musical due to financial limitations.
We believe that the power and magic of the stage offers hope and possibility to area youth, particularly those who are in search of self-esteem and positive role models.
Individuals, foundations and corporations can participate in this exciting program that offers complimentary seats to performances.
For every $30 ticket purchased Thalian Association Community Theatre will pay the NC/NHC entertainment tax and Thalian Hall preservation and handling fees. Tickets may be purchased in any number and the donor will be acknowledged in our programs.
Children benefit as follows:
$300 admits 10 children
$600 admits 20 children
$1,500 admits 50 children
$3,000 admits 100 children
As a part of Theater 4 Change, Thalian Association Community Theatre sends instructors weekly to the the Community Boys & Girls Club and Brigade Boys & Girls club and performs our Youth Theatre shows on both campuses. This is all made possible through generous contributions, grant awards and the support of our members. This year thanks to our friends at PPD, there will be special school performances of the 2015-2016 Youth Theatre season at the Community Arts Center for the students of A. H. Snipes Academy of Arts & Design. If you know a children’s charity we should support or to make a donation, contact Susan Habas at 910-251-1788 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
