Thalian Association Community Theatre will hold auditions for the play, Around the World in 80 Days, Saturday November 13 from 12-3 pm. Auditions will be held at the Community Arts Center, 120 S. 2nd Street in downtown Wilmington. Around the World in 80 Days will be directed by Reilly Callaghan. The production will run for live performances January 14 through January 23 with streaming options also available.
Audition participants need to prepare to read from a provided script in small groups. Audition sides and forms will be available November 8 at the front desk of the Community Arts Center. Those wishing to audition may call 910-251-1788 to set up an audition group time. All roles are available. TACT’s artistic director encourages youth with all levels of experience to audition. All are welcome! To keep crowds low, please do not enter the building until it is your time to audition.

Synopsis:
Hold onto your seats for the original amazing race! Join fearless adventurer Phileas Fogg and his faithful manservant as they race to beat the clock! Phileas Fogg has agreed to an outrageous wager that puts his fortune and his life at risk. With his resourceful servant Passepartout, Fogg sets out to circle the globe in an unheard-of 80 days. But his every step is dogged by a detective who thinks he’s a robber on the run. Danger, romance, and comic surprises abound in this whirlwind of a show as actors portraying 39 characters traverse seven continents in one of the greatest adventures of all time.
